It is our Karup futon bed Japan carob brown 180x200cm, a wonderfully low-lying platform that is reminiscent of a traditional Japanese bedroom! The Japan comes in two sizes, 140x200 and 160x200, and is made from sustainable materials sourced from Scandinavian forests certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. If you're looking for a modern yet timeless double bed to add to your room, the Japan natural futon bed is the perfect choice!

You have a choice from different futons and fillings, the frame is also available in natural lacquer. You can put together the Karup futon bed Japan entirely to your own taste, making every bed unique!

The bed comes standard with a solid wooden slatted base but can also be expanded with a traditional one tatami bed base, made from braided rice straw. It futon mattress has a capitonnage and is available in different comfort classes, from SG25 foam up to coconut of latex filling.

The traditional futon mattress is filled with 12 layers of 100% cotton without core and has a total thickness of approx. 13 cm.
The futon mattress has comfort 6 layers of 100% cotton with a core of 6 cm comfort foam with a total thickness of approx. 13cm.
The futon mattress has coconut 8 layers of 100% cotton pressed with a core of 4 cm coconut fiber with a total thickness of approx. 15cm.
The futon mattress has Sandwich 6 layers of 100% cotton with a core of 4 cm coconut fiber and 2x 2cm natural latex with a total thickness of about 17cm
The futon mattress has Latex 8 layers of 100% cotton with a core of 8 cm natural latex with a total thickness of about 17cm
