Elegant and practical… This Cord design sleeping chair has it all! Style, comfort, a hidden bed and three backrest positions. The Cord sleeping chair is compact and perfect for small urban spaces, and also available as a sofa bed which turns into a double bed. Thanks to its click / clack system, you can easily change the armchair to one single bed. The whole has a sleek design and is extremely comfortable thanks to the cushion-like armrests and practical back cushions.

Despite a width of only 96 cm, CORD is a “real” sleeping chair, offering a comfortable sleeping place for one person. The possibility to adjust the back in three different positions gives the CORD sleeping chair an extra dimension of comfort.

The design was conceived by: busk + hertzog Architecten specialized in furniture / product design. The studio, today located in London, UK, was founded year 2000 by Flemming Busk (1967), architect MAA and designer MDD, and Stephan B. Hertzog (1969), designer MDD. busk + hertzog has received more than 40 international design awards for their works and their designs are represented in the Royal House of Norway, Danish Broadcast Cooperation, CNN, Chivas Regal, the Norwegian Embassy in Helsinki, the Carnegie Trust, and “The Modern” (Restaurant), Museum of Modern Art, New York.

The Cord design sleeping chair is of very solid quality and made of a combination of wood and metal with a seat of sturdy comfort foam with no-zag suspension. The base is available in chrome or black. The Cord sofa bed is also available in many trendy colors and can be covered in different types of fabric, including cotton, wool, felt. The mattress of this sofa is made of a good quality sg30 foam, for optimal comfort. This type of foam has a medium hardness, for a good sitting and lying ratio.
