The Karup Merge futon bed 180×200 cm is the widest size of the Merge range: 184 cm wide, 227 cm long, and 32,5 cm high. The solid pine platform rests on 10 cm legs set inwards, giving the bed a floating appearance. At the foot end, the frame extends 27 cm into a bench with open storage compartments underneath, spanning the entire width of the bed.

At this width, the sofa is a true seating area for two, and the compartments underneath offer space for books, blankets, or items that would otherwise sit on nightstands. This keeps a large bedroom uncluttered and calm. The Merge is a design by Says Who from Denmark.

What you buy

You receive the solid pine frame in natural, FSC Mix-certified, with a wooden slatted base and assembly instructions. The 180×200 cm mattress is ordered separately, either as a Karup futon from the selection list or as your own mattress. Option during configuration: the tatami bed base with two 90×200 cm mats instead of the slatted base.

Choose a futon

When configuring, you choose a Karup futon, or you order the bed without a futon and use your own mattress. The futons are constructed from layers of cotton around a core:

  • Traditional: coreless cotton, approximately 13 cm
  • Comfort: cotton with a 4 cm foam core, approximately 15 cm
  • Coconut: cotton with a 3 cm coconut board core, approximately 16 cm
  • Sandwich: cotton with a core of 4 cm latex foam and 3 cm coconut board, approximately 16 cm
  • Double latex: cotton with an 8 cm latex foam core, approximately 18 cm
  • Triple latex: cotton and wool with a core of 6 cm latex foam and 2 cm horsehair, approximately 20 cm

Organic futon

The Karup futons are made of recycled cotton, eco-friendly but not organically certified. Those who want a fully organically produced mattress, without chemicals and pesticides, with certificates and quality marks and a more luxurious finish, choose the organic futon mattress Traditional 180×200 cm and orders the bed without a futon.

Delivery is free. You'll want to see a 227 cm long bed in person: in our showroom in Bergen op Zoom, you will find the largest Karup Design collection in the Benelux.

Your long-awaited product will arrive on your doorstep within approximately 9 business days. No surprises, because we'll always contact you the day before delivery. Returns

Oops, not completely happy with your order? Don't worry, you have up to 30 days after receipt to return the item! And we make it easy for you, we simply schedule a pick-up appointment for you. Please note: we charge €39,99 for returning this product. But if you prefer to return it or send it in yourself, it will of course not cost you anything extra. However, a few conditions apply:

  • The item must be spotless and damage free.
  • Pack the item neatly back in the original packaging
