A . TIMELESS . PIECE

A timeless sofa bed. Roots 140 is the essence of the Karup Design DNA: you not only get a 2-seater sofa but also a double bed with the option of reclining the backrest for lounging. The Roots transforms quickly and easily - just like magic. Do you get the idea?

ECO . FRIENDLY . UNIQUE

The knots in the natural wooden frame make the sofa unique, so no piece of furniture is the same. In addition, the wooden frames are produced sustainably and come from wood FSC ® certified forests.

The futon mattress is filled with recycled cotton from the textile industry which has been tested according to TÜV, which means that quality and environmental standards are met. In addition, this piece of furniture is packaged as efficiently as possible to limit CO2 emissions and residual waste.

The Karup design sofa bed Roots 140 black is the Roots in its sleekest version: a black lacquered frame of solid pine, a futon mattress in the fabric color of your choice, and three manually adjustable positions. Sofa 140 cm wide, lounge sofa, or double bed of 140×200 cm.

Black lets the lines of the frame speak for themselves. With a light fabric on the mattress, beige or linen, the contrast becomes the furniture itself. With a dark fabric, anthracite or petrol, the sofa becomes one calm surface in the room.

This is how the Roots works

The backrest stands upright as a sofa and folds down for the lounge position. For the bed, unfold the mattress over the frame to create a sleeping surface of 140 by 200 cm at a height of 20 cm. Back to sofa: fold the mattress in half, raise the backrest. There are no loose cushions or parts.
