Modular sofas

What is a modular sofa?

A modular sofa is made up of separate elements: seat modules, back cushions, armrests, and ottomans. You place these side by side in a configuration that suits your room, and you change the arrangement whenever you want. With many brands, you choose the layout once when ordering; after that, the sofa arrives as a single unit. A Feydom remains made up of separate modules. You slide them apart and back together without tools, and you expand later with additional elements. That is why such a sofa is also called an element sofa.

Which configurations are possible?

• Court: 2-seater (Bard S), 3-seater (Bard M) or 4-seater (BonBon S, two modules).
• corner sofa: place a module at a right angle, left, or right. If you are looking for a corner sofa that you also sleep on, take a look at our corner sofa beds.
• Lounge: modules side by side with the back cushions on one side, for a deep seat or a daybed.
• Two separate sofas or armchairs: the same modules distributed across the room, for example a 2-seater with a separate chaise longue.
• B: slide the modules together. Most Feydom models are also a bed 80 to 200 cm wide; you can find those at our modular sofa beds.

If you have a small living room, start with two modules, for example the Bard S or the BonBon S, and expand later if space or need arises.

Frequently asked questions about modular sofas

What is a modular sofa?

A sofa consisting of separate elements that you combine yourself and rearrange or expand later. With Feydom, the modules remain separate, allowing you to switch between a sofa, corner sofa, lounge, and bed daily.

Can I put together a modular sofa myself?

Yes. You configure the BonBon in our own configurator on the page of the BonBon S, the other models in Feydom's 3D designer. Or come for a test sit in Bergen op Zoom, and we will put it together with you.

Which components are available for a modular sofa?

At Feydom: seating modules in various widths, corner modules, poufs, armrests (also with storage space at the BonBon), loose back cushions, and separate covers. You can find them all at the individual modules, so that you expand an existing sofa without buying a new one.

Is an element sofa the same as a modular sofa?

Yes. Elementenbank is the older Dutch name for a modular sofa: a sofa made up of separate seating elements.

Can I expand a modular sofa later?

Yes. You order individual modules, also in a different color, and slide them up to your existing sofa. This way, a 2-seater becomes a 3-seater or a corner sofa.

Are the covers of a modular sofa removable and washable?

At Feydom, you do. You take the covers off the modules to wash them, and you order covers in a different color later.

Does a modular sofa fit through a narrow stairwell?

Yes. A Feydom is delivered in separate parts and assembled in the room, so it fits through any door and any stairwell.

Can I also sleep on a modular sofa?

On most Feydom models, yes: slide the modules together and you have a bed 80 to 200 cm wide, suitable for daily use. Only the Bard S and M are pure sofas. View the modular sofa beds.
