The Karup Dock futon bed 140×200 cm is the smallest double bed in the Dock range, a platform bed made of clear lacquered pine, 153 cm wide and 213 cm long. The frame is 11 cm high and stands on 4 cm legs. As a result, the bed takes up floor space in a small bedroom but almost no room in your field of vision: the room remains open.
For those who want the complete Japanese feel, place two 70×200 cm tatami mats in the frame instead of the slatted base. The rice straw mats provide a firmer, natural surface and allow the futon to breathe. Additionally, there is a set of two bedside tables that are as low as the bed.
What you buy
The solid pine frame is FSC Mix-certified and finished with a clear water-based lacquer, the color tone of which may vary slightly. A slatted base and assembly instructions are included in the delivery. A 140×200 cm mattress must be ordered separately: a Karup futon from the selection list or your own mattress. Options during configuration: the tatami bed base (2 mats of 70×200 cm) and the set of bedside tables measuring 45 x 34 cm, 5 cm high.

Choose a futon
When configuring, you choose a Karup futon, or you order the bed without a futon and use your own mattress. The futons are constructed from layers of cotton around a core:
- Traditional: coreless cotton, approximately 13 cm
- Comfort: cotton with a 4 cm foam core, approximately 15 cm
- Coconut: cotton with a 3 cm coconut board core, approximately 16 cm
- Sandwich: cotton with a core of 4 cm latex foam and 3 cm coconut board, approximately 16 cm
- Double latex: cotton with an 8 cm latex foam core, approximately 18 cm
- Triple latex: cotton and wool with a core of 6 cm latex foam and 2 cm horsehair, approximately 20 cm

Organic futon
The Karup futons are made of recycled cotton, eco-friendly but not organically certified. Those who want a fully organically produced mattress, without chemicals and pesticides, with certificates and quality marks and a more luxurious finish, choose the organic futon mattress Traditional 140×200 cm and orders the bed without a futon.
