The Karup Dock futon bed 90×200 cm is the single size of the Dock, a platform bed made of clear lacquered pine that, at 11 cm, is even lower than the Karup Japan bed (20 cm). The frame is 103 cm wide and 213 cm long and stands on 4 cm legs, so the bed sits almost on the floor. A low bed for a teenager's room, a guest room, or a small bedroom where a high bed would take up too much space.
You put the Dock together yourself. It comes standard with a wooden slatted base; if you wish, you can replace this with a single 90×200 cm tatami mat, and the bed is complemented by a set of two bedside tables that are just as low as the frame. You can choose the mattress from the Karup futons, or place your own 90×200 cm mattress on top.
What you buy
The frame is made of solid pine, FSC Mix-certified, and finished with a clear water-based lacquer (the color tone may vary slightly). The wooden slatted base and assembly instructions are included, but a mattress is not. Instead of the slatted base, you can choose a 90×200 cm tatami mat made of rice straw with a rush grass top layer. The set of two bedside tables measuring 45 x 34 cm and 5 cm high is an option during configuration.

Choose a futon
When configuring, you choose a Karup futon, or you order the bed without a futon and use your own mattress. The futons are constructed from layers of cotton around a core:
- Traditional: coreless cotton, approximately 13 cm
- Comfort: cotton with a 4 cm foam core, approximately 15 cm
- Coconut: cotton with a 3 cm coconut board core, approximately 16 cm
- Sandwich: cotton with a core of 4 cm latex foam and 3 cm coconut board, approximately 16 cm
- Double latex: cotton with an 8 cm latex foam core, approximately 18 cm
- Triple latex: cotton and wool with a core of 6 cm latex foam and 2 cm horsehair, approximately 20 cm

Organic futon
The Karup futons are made of recycled cotton, eco-friendly but not organically certified. Those who want a fully organically produced mattress, without chemicals and pesticides, with certificates and quality marks and a more luxurious finish, choose the organic futon mattress Traditional 90×200 cm and orders the bed without a futon.
