The Karup Japan Natural futon bed 90×200 cm is the single bed in the Japan series made of light solid wood: 118 cm wide, 228 cm long, and 20 cm high. Low, light in color, and with an open design, it appears to take up hardly any space in a small room. A bed for a nursery that grows with the child, a student room, or a guest room that also serves as a home office.

The light wood shows the grain and matches almost any wall color. A futon in a colored cover, a tatami mat next to it, and a low nightstand from the same series complete the look.

Plain solid wood

Karup Design creates the Japan from solid wood sourced from FSC-certified Scandinavian forests. The frame is an open design on eight legs containing the solid wood slatted base, which is included as standard with the assembly instructions. For the traditional Japanese surface, select the tatami bed base during configuration; for this size, this includes one 90×200 cm mat made of rice straw with a top layer of rush grass.

The Japan Natural is available in five sizes: this 90, the spacious single size. 120x200 cm and the double sizes 140x200 cm, 160x200 cm en 180x200 cm. The same size in dark brown is it Japanese carob brown 90×200 cmBlack, Terra, and the other colors are available from 140×200 cm.

Which futon on a single bed

When configuring, choose one of the six Karup futons, or order the bed without a futon for your own 90×200 cm mattress:

  • Traditional: coreless cotton, approximately 13 cm
  • Comfort: cotton with a 4 cm foam core, approximately 15 cm
  • Coconut: cotton with a 3 cm coconut board core, approximately 16 cm
  • Sandwich: cotton with a core of 4 cm latex foam and 3 cm coconut board, approximately 16 cm
  • Double latex: cotton with an 8 cm latex foam core, approximately 18 cm
  • Triple latex: cotton and wool with a core of 6 cm latex foam and 2 cm horsehair, approximately 20 cm

Organic futon

The Karup futons are made of recycled cotton: eco-friendly, but not organically certified. If you want a mattress that is produced entirely organically, without chemicals and pesticides, with certificates and quality marks, and a more luxurious finish, then choose the organic futon mattress Traditional 90×200 cm and order the bed without a futon.

The Japan Natural is on display in our showroom in Bergen op Zoom, featuring the largest Karup Design collection in the Benelux. Delivery in the Netherlands and Belgium is free.

Delivery

Your long-awaited product will arrive on your doorstep within approximately 9 business days. No surprises, because we'll always contact you the day before delivery. But hey, if that time isn't quite convenient, don't worry! Just let us know what works best, and we'll arrange a more suitable day together. And if you have an account with us, you can also find the expected delivery date there. How convenient!

Returns

Oops, not completely happy with your order? Don't worry, you have up to 30 days after receipt to return the item! And we make it easy for you, we simply schedule a pick-up appointment for you. Please note: we charge €39,99 for returning this product. But if you prefer to return it or send it in yourself, it will of course not cost you anything extra. However, a few conditions apply:

  • The item must be spotless and damage free.
  • Pack the item neatly back in the original packaging
