The Karup Ziggy natural futon bed 90×200 cm is a single bed with a built-in nightstand: the softly curved solid pine frame contains six open storage compartments 12,5 cm deep for books, glasses, or a phone charging overnight. The bed is 107 cm wide, 205 cm long, and 29 cm high, and is clear lacquered.
For a small bedroom, a student room, or a child's room that needs a large bed, this saves a piece of furniture. The wide edge of the frame serves as a nightstand, so nothing needs to stand next to the bed anymore.
Six storage compartments in the frame
Karup Design commissioned the Danish studio Says Who to design the Ziggy. The frame is made of solid FSC-certified pine with a round, soft line. The compartments in the sides are positioned as open pockets within the frame, accessible from the bed. The solid wood slatted base and assembly instructions are included. Prefer the traditional Japanese surface? Then choose the tatami bed base when configuring; for this size, one mat of 90×200 cm, with a rice straw core and a rush grass top layer.

The Ziggy Natural is available in five sizes: this 90, the 120x200 cm, 140x200 cm, 160x200 cm en 180x200 cm. The same size in dark brown is the Ziggy carob brown 90×200 cm.
Futon or your own mattress
The Ziggy is suitable for any 90×200 cm mattress. When configuring, choose a Karup futon, or order the bed without a futon:
- Traditional: coreless cotton, approximately 13 cm
- Comfort: cotton with a 4 cm foam core, approximately 15 cm
- Coconut: cotton with a 3 cm coconut board core, approximately 16 cm
- Sandwich: cotton with a core of 4 cm latex foam and 3 cm coconut board, approximately 16 cm
- Double latex: cotton with an 8 cm latex foam core, approximately 18 cm
- Triple latex: cotton and wool with a core of 6 cm latex foam and 2 cm horsehair, approximately 20 cm
