The Karup Ziggy natural futon bed 140×200 cm is the compact double size of the Ziggy: 168 cm wide, 205 cm long, 29 cm high, made of clear lacquered solid pine. The special feature lies in the sides: six open storage compartments in the frame, so you don't need bedside tables in a bedroom where they just don't quite fit.
A 140 is the size for a smaller bedroom, a guest room, or a spacious single bed. With the compartments in the frame, you keep the floor clear and the room open.
Nightstands in the frame
Says Who, a Danish design studio, designed the Ziggy for Karup Design: a low frame of solid FSC-certified pine with soft curves and six open compartments 12,5 cm deep. The wide top edge is the place for your phone while it is charging. The solid wood slatted base and assembly instructions are included in the delivery. For the traditional base, select two 70×200 cm tatami mats made of rice straw with a top layer of rush grass when configuring.

Choosing a futon at 140 cm
When configuring, you choose one of the six Karup futons, or you order the bed without a futon and place your own 140×200 cm mattress on it:
- Traditional: coreless cotton, approximately 13 cm
- Comfort: cotton with a 4 cm foam core, approximately 15 cm
- Coconut: cotton with a 3 cm coconut board core, approximately 16 cm
- Sandwich: cotton with a core of 4 cm latex foam and 3 cm coconut board, approximately 16 cm
- Double latex: cotton with an 8 cm latex foam core, approximately 18 cm
- Triple latex: cotton and wool with a core of 6 cm latex foam and 2 cm horsehair, approximately 20 cm
