The Karup futon bed Japan carob brown 90×200 cm is the single size of the Japan in dark brown: 118 cm wide, 228 cm long, 20 cm high. A low bed for a teenager's room, a guest room, or a small bedroom, where the frame serves just as well as a seating area during the day. The dark carob brown makes the wood look heavier than it is and looks beautiful on a light floor.

This one has everything the larger sizes have: solid wood, eight legs, and an open frame with the slatted base inside. Only the width differs. You can place a Karup futon on it or your own 90×200 cm mattress.

Solid wood in carob brown

Karup Design makes the Japan from solid wood from FSC-certified Scandinavian forests and paints the frame in carob brown. The solid wood slatted base and assembly instructions are included. Those who prefer a traditional surface select the tatami bed base during configuration: for this size, one mat of 90×200 cm, with a rice straw core and a top layer of rush grass.

The Japanese carob brown is available in five sizes. You can sleep a little more spaciously on the 120x200 cm, the double sizes are 140x200 cm, 160x200 cm en 180x200 cm. Futon for 90×200

When configuring, you choose a Karup futon, or you order the bed without a futon. The six fillings, from firm to soft:

  • Traditional: coreless cotton, approximately 13 cm
  • Comfort: cotton with a 4 cm foam core, approximately 15 cm
  • Coconut: cotton with a 3 cm coconut board core, approximately 16 cm
  • Sandwich: cotton with a core of 4 cm latex foam and 3 cm coconut board, approximately 16 cm
  • Double latex: cotton with an 8 cm latex foam core, approximately 18 cm
  • Triple latex: cotton and wool with a core of 6 cm latex foam and 2 cm horsehair, approximately 20 cm

Organic sleep

The Karup futons are made from recycled cotton: eco-friendly, but not organically certified. If you want a mattress that is produced entirely organically, without chemicals and pesticides, with certificates and quality marks, and a more luxurious finish, then choose the organic futon mattress Traditional 90×200 cm and order the bed without a futon.

The Japanese carob brown is on display in our showroom in Bergen op Zoom, featuring the largest Karup Design collection in the Benelux. Delivery in the Netherlands and Belgium is free.

Oops, not completely happy with your order? Don't worry, you have up to 30 days after receipt to return the item! And we make it easy for you, we simply schedule a pick-up appointment for you. Please note: we charge €39,99 for returning this product. But if you prefer to return it or send it in yourself, it will of course not cost you anything extra. However, a few conditions apply:
