The Karup Dock futon bed 120×200 cm is the 'twin' version of the Dock: roomier than a single bed, yet with external dimensions of 133 by 213 cm, it is narrower than a double bed. The frame of clear lacquered pine is 11 cm high and stands on 4 cm legs. As low as this platform bed is, it makes a small bedroom or studio look calm and serene.

A 120 cm wide mattress gives one person plenty of room to turn over, and there is room for a guest as well. The Dock lets you choose: a Karup futon or your own mattress, and a set of two low bedside tables that match the height of the frame perfectly.

What you buy

You order the frame made of solid pine, FSC Mix-certified and clear lacquered with a water-based lacquer, the color tone of which may vary slightly. The wooden slatted base and assembly instructions are included. In this size, the Dock comes with the slatted base only; a tatami bed base is available for sizes 90, 140, 160, and 180. You select the set of two nightstands measuring 45 x 34 cm and 5 cm high as an option.

Choose a futon

When configuring, you choose a Karup futon, or you order the bed without a futon and use your own mattress. The futons are constructed from layers of cotton around a core:

  • Traditional: coreless cotton, approximately 13 cm
  • Comfort: cotton with a 4 cm foam core, approximately 15 cm
  • Coconut: cotton with a 3 cm coconut board core, approximately 16 cm
  • Sandwich: cotton with a core of 4 cm latex foam and 3 cm coconut board, approximately 16 cm
  • Double latex: cotton with an 8 cm latex foam core, approximately 18 cm
  • Triple latex: cotton and wool with a core of 6 cm latex foam and 2 cm horsehair, approximately 20 cm

Organic futon

The Karup futons are made of recycled cotton, eco-friendly but not organically certified. Those who want a fully organically produced mattress, without chemicals and pesticides, with certificates and quality marks and a more luxurious finish, choose the organic futon mattress Traditional 120×200 cm and orders the bed without a futon.

Delivery is free. Our showroom in Bergen op Zoom houses the largest Karup Design collection in the Benelux, so you can compare the Dock with the other low beds there.

Returns

Oops, not completely happy with your order? Don't worry, you have up to 30 days after receipt to return the item! And we make it easy for you, we simply schedule a pick-up appointment for you. Please note: we charge €39,99 for returning this product. But if you prefer to return it or send it in yourself, it will of course not cost you anything extra. However, a few conditions apply:
